The Tribal Council is the legislative voice of the Piqua Shawnee Tribe — elected by enrolled citizens and convened in regular and special session at the Council House. The Council adopts resolutions, approves the annual budget, and safeguards the Constitution of the Tribe.

Principal Chief

Duane Everhart

Principal Chief Duane Everhart leads the Piqua Shawnee Tribe of Alabama as the executive head of the tribal government. Together with the Tribal Council, the Office of the Principal Chief sets the strategic direction of the Tribe and ensures services, programs, and protections are delivered to every enrolled citizen.
